Lighting presets tools

This tool was made to be used as a preset for different types of lighting for your scene, where you can use the exact setup or use it as a starting point to customize the lighting of your scene.

Getting Started

You can learn how to install the Emperia PCG Tool here - PCG - Installation

You can find the Lighting Preset in the Place Actors panel, in the Emperia PCG Tools tab and then drag the Lighting Presets actor into your scene.

Alternatively, you can find it in the Quick Add menu.

Select the BP_Lighting in the outliner, in the Details tab select one of the presets from the dropdown and click the Load Selected Environment Lighting button.

A new actor will be created with the name of the selected preset.

To try other presets, just select from the dropdown and click the Load Selected Environment Lighting button again and the current preset will be replaced.

Customization

By selecting the light preset actor in the Outliner you can freely change all the parameters in the actor’s components, adding further customizations to the light preset.

image

Be aware that if you select another preset from the dropdown menu in the BP_Lighting actor, all your changes will be lost.

To avoid losing your changes, you need to duplicate the Preset actor and rename it.

If you select another preset, only the original one will be replaced and you can keep your customization for further use.
